| The Inside Out Objects series
is a collection of everyday objects that have been turned inside
out, reassembled, and then documented and catalogued as photographs.
The gesture of turning things inside out began as the spontaneous
reaction to my own feeling of being turned inside out. It grew into
a deliberate and repetitive process in which various everyday objects
stand in for the self. What was once the exterior of these objects
has become hidden, and the former insides are exposed to scrutiny,
enduring in a state of reversal. |
